Are aesthetics trends changing?
The Aesthetic market globally is worth £45.5 billion and a staggering £4.5 billion of this is made up in the UK. The market is growing at a rate of 10% per year. Aesthetics is something that people will always invest in and our personal appearance takes priority across all genders, ethnicities and a wide variety in age catergories.
Our clinics and staff are noticing people are more aware of what science based treatments are and this is something we have been educating our patients about for many many years, however in late 2023/2024 we noticed a sudden increase in demand for regenerative treatments and integration of tailored at home skin care routines.
Fillers and Botox certainly aren’t dying out, however a change in the style has taken place - finally! We are creating more youthful appearances and really naturally enhancing ones beauty. This is something our brand ethics has always reflected, and we are glad to see the majority of the industry is now working towards this.
Fillers and Botox are a category of their own, and if done correctly, in the right patient demographic will improve ones appearance.
So what is regenerative medicine?
Regenerative medicine is essentially looking at our skins tissues and the ability to heal and reverse & improve the damage caused.
Treatments which regenerate the skins tissues include: PRP, Polynucelotides & Skin needling. These are out 3 most popular treatments at the moment but why?
Poly’s - Polyneucleotide treatment involves injecting DNA fragments derived from into the skin to stimulate collagen production, improve skin elasticity, and promote tissue regeneration. Our DNA and cells change in structure over years, and this effect has a negative effect on the skins quality. This treatment will regenerate the cell itself - leaving the skin in much better condition!
PRP - Platelets are very rich in growth factors, so when injected into an area of concern, it will stimulate cell turnover, collagen production and generally promote good factors for the skin! It is the ultimate anti ageing facial.
Skin needling - Skin needling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a luxury skin rejuvenation treatment which causes controlled injury to the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Essentially, in simpler terms, our body goes into a wound healing response mode, which has many benefits on our skin quality! This treatment helps to improve patients skin health as well as effectively treating a range of skin concerns.
